Fresh Servant strengthens its growth by acquiring Bama Fresh Cuts

Fresh Servant Group Oy Ab has signed an agreement with the BAMA Gruppen AS group to acquire Bama Fresh Cuts Oy. The acquisition strengthens Fresh Servant’s position in the foodservice market and supports the company’s growth strategy as a developer of fresh food solutions and ready-made salads. Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the competition authority.

Fresh Servant aims to strengthen its position in a growing market. The acquisition supports the company’s ambition to increase the role of fresh vegetables in consumers’ everyday lives, reinforce its position in the foodservice segment, and deepen collaboration with professional kitchens.

The goal is to be customers’ preferred partner in making everyday life easier and in developing practical food solutions that support well-being. The acquisition is part of Fresh Servant’s long-term strategy, where growth is built on continuous product development, customer-driven solutions, an efficient supply chain, and strong foodservice expertise.

Following the transaction, Fresh Servant will be able to offer its customers an even broader range of fresh and innovative solutions and further strengthen its role as a partner that develops the market together with its customers. Bama Fresh Cuts brings strong foodservice expertise to the portfolio, and the acquisition gives Fresh Servant enhanced capabilities to increase the role of fresh vegetables in everyday life and meet the growing expectations of restaurant customers with solutions emphasizing freshness, convenience, and well-being.

“This is the largest acquisition in Fresh Servant’s history and a significant strategic leap forward for us. We want to be at the forefront of shaping the future of the restaurant industry, and we strongly believe that out-of-home dining will continue to grow and evolve. Our goal is to make everyday life in professional kitchens smoother, bring bold new solutions to the market, and strengthen the role of fresh vegetables in consumers’ daily choices. We aim to be our customers’ number one partner when they seek convenience, well-being, and growth,” says Sami Haapasalmi, CEO of Fresh Servant.

“Bama Fresh Cuts Oy has built a strong position in the Finnish foodservice market. We are pleased to transfer the business to Fresh Servant, which has the expertise and commitment to develop it further. This is a positive outcome for both the business and the people involved,” says Atle Beyer, Chairman of the Board of BAMA Nordic.

Fresh Servant’s ambition is to grow profitably by responding to changing consumer and customer needs faster and more effectively. Growth is driven by strengthening innovation and customer-centricity, as well as leveraging efficiency and technology in ways that support both consumer and foodservice business development and reinforce the company’s position as a developer of food solutions that promote well-being and make everyday life easier.

“We see this acquisition as much more than an opportunity to grow in size. It is about being able to serve our customers even more effectively in a market where efficiency, freshness, and ready-to-use solutions are increasingly important. We want to be a partner to both retail and professional kitchens that not only delivers products but also helps develop their everyday operations and business,” continues Sami Haapasalmi.
